5Hucklecote RedfordThumbs up for the Hucklecote Redford
It would be easy just to say this coat is superb, but that must be quantified.
The tweed material is a close weave of even texture which lies flat but folds easily without creases. It is warm to the touch and keeps the wearer warm.
The inner lining is not too thick, but thick enough to keep the wearer warm without making movement difficult.
The drop lining is of a thicker material than the cheaper brands, but will shed water and withstand wear better than most.
The bellows pockets are lined with a similar waterproof material so they can be rinsed out when dirty as well as protecting the rest of the coat. The inner pockets have zips for security and there is a separate one for a mobile telephone which may prove a lifesaver if you are in an area where these coats come into their element and you have an accident.
I have thought long and hard about any negative points and can only come up with the fact the full length zip closure does not have some material to protect the chin when it is right up!
